This up scale cinema experience is definitely something worth treating yourself to, and something you probably won’t get the chance to experience in many other cities. It is more than just going to watch a film; with free food, a comfy reclining bed and a private butler you’ll feel very spoilt and not want to visit an ordinary cinema again.
Within Central Embassy there are two types of seats. The most expensive and luxurious being in hall one which we haven’t yet visited (but plan to soon). Instead, we visited the cheaper hall 2-5 cocoon beds and found these satisfying and luxurious enough. We suggest you arrive well before the film starting time as there is plenty of free food, soft drinks and tea and coffee included in the ticket price. Unfortunately you can’t take the food into the cinema with you so you need to make the most of it before hand.
The food was in small portions due to its canape style, but it was extremely delicious and you could take as much as you want. Included was asparagus wrapped in ham, smoked duck, carbonara pasta, tomato pasta and plenty of desserts. Labels in English explain what everything is and waiters are available to help make drinks. The food was also constantly refilled so you will definitely not go hungry.
The seating itself is unbelievable. The seats are in pods of two and shaped like a cocoon. They recline fully with a foot rest, blankets and pillows provided. In the centre is a small table where you can place drinks and popcorn, as well as a small light and a button so you can call your own personal butler at any time.
Should you need assistance, the butler is quick to serve. Popcorn and drinks during the film are not included in the ticket price so you will have to buy them from the butler. Popcorn costs 130 baht. Please note that many websites and blogs state that there is a free mini bar, free popcorn and an alcoholic beverage included in the ticket price, this is no longer available in the cocoon style seats, we were a little disappointed.
After the film you are free to venture into the lounge, read a magazine or take advantage of the free food once more.
We’re now really looking forward to visiting the hall one seats and seeing how much more luxurious a cinema can actually get.
