Cat Cafés have recently sprouted up all over Bangkok, but this is the first one that we have had the opportunity to visit. After our first cat café experience, we shall definitely be exploring a few more.
Upon entering, you must wash your hands and take off your shoes. The café is kitted out with light coloured furniture and wooden floors, but most importantly there are cats everywhere. Some cats are keen to be stroked, fed and cuddled, while others opt to sit high on shelves and avoid contact with humans. There are toys available so you can play with the cats, and the café sells cat food too. We definitely recommend buying some cat food, as this ensures you become very popular and make lots of new feline friends!
The staff were all extremely friendly and we enjoyed the cat touches to the food we ordered. Food and drinks were really good, and we would happily return simply for the food in the future.
Seating is on cushions on the floor, which makes it easier to pet the cats, but can be a little uncomfortable after a while. If you have your own pet cat, it seems you can bring them along to meet the cats at the café too.
We had a lovely evening and definitely recommend popping in if you are in the Talad Rod Fai area. It has inspired us to check out some more cat cafés in Bangkok soon.
