Celebrate the festive season with some real snow and sledging fun! As soon as you step into the snow town you will forget you are in Bangkok as you feel the -8 degree temperatures and admire gingerbread houses, igloos, large snowmen and reindeer. Occasionally, real snow drifts from the ceiling too.

As you wonder around there are plenty of photo opportunities, although when we visited it was very busy. Once you have posed with all the figures, you can go sledging! There are blow up sledges provided which you can go down in individually or in pairs. There is both a child and adult slope. You simply walk to the top, await your turn and sledge down. There are staff at the bottom of the slope to cushion your bump.

Don’t worry about shoes and clothing. Fetching blue wellies and matching blue coats are provided when entering the Snow Town, although you probably want to bring your own socks…and maybe even some gloves so you can pick up the snow.

Please note that Snow Town has been closed for refurbishment, and it now advertises itself as colder, bigger and better.

You probably won’t last too long at the Snow Town due to the cold, so why not have a go on some of the rides around Dream World theme park afterwards?
